The Active Sole opened in December of 2006 in downtown Park City, Utah. Owner, Scott Wilson strives to provide carefully selected lines of seasonal shoes that look great, accentuate the Park City lifestyle, and above all, are comfortable.  Scott tells me that the Park City lifestyle means different things to different people. To The Active Sole, it's a combination of a few basic elements: Park City is hip and familiar with the latest ideas and styles, laid back, easy going, and carefree, active, energetic and charismatic. No wonder The Active Sole carries a huge variety of hip, fashionable and comfortable shoes.

At The Active Sole, you are welcome to browse at your leisure without any pressure. You are treated more as a friend or neighbor than a potential sale. Scott has designed his store to be creative, warm, and cozy. At The Active Sole, Scott and his team try to be as "green" as possible. Earth is the only planet we have after all! Scott tries to promote earth friendly companies by carrying their products. Patagonia, Teva, Chaco, El Natura Lista, and Pikolinos are among many of the environmentally conscious brands at The Active Sole.

Just a few months before their store opening, Scott contacted us for help with his packaging. We decided that the 16 x 6 x 12 and 16 x 6 x 19 Oatmeal Kraft paper shoppers were the perfect combination of style and earth friendly awareness. Scott provided us with a simple, classy three color logo to use for his packaging. Printed in chocolate, light blue, and citrus green on two sides, The Active Sole's bags are a perfect fit for Park City.

As well as using wind power to light their store and recycling materials used in their daily routine, The Active Sole also offers a pre-cycling program. Upon checkout every customer is asked if they would like to have their shoe boxes recycled. Ninety percent of The Active Sole's customers take them up on this offer, reducing waste that would otherwise make it's way to the landfill.
