Opening it's doors in 1997, Oskar Blues became a full-fledged brewpub in 1999. Located off the beaten path in the heart of Lyons, Oskar Blues hosts Colorado locals as well as visitors from across the country on their way to Rocky Mountain National Park. The brewery has a beer for everyone, as well as colorful names - Dale's Pale Ale (Dale's favorite) One Nut Brown Ale, Reverend Sandi's Sinful Stout, HIYA Scotch Ale, Gordon's and the seasonal Old Chub. In 2002, the brewery part of the operation moved into the 60 year-old barn next door - and began to can. Literally! Dale believes that all good beer comes in a can, and so Oskar Blues became "The Little Brewery that Can".

Oskar Blues has one of the most unique uses for bags that we've seen at the office - a beer cooler. Enclosed in every 12 pack of Oskar Blues beer is a clear plastic bag that lines the case. It can be filled with ice and all of the cans fit right in - keeping your beer ice cold and ready to drink. When the beer is gone, you have a handy trash bag ready - allowing for easy clean-up. To make sure they have enough bags for their beer, Oskar Blues uses Just-In-Time Distribution - making sure the bags are available at all times. Oskar Blues also uses a printed Super Gloss bag with the Dale's Pale Ale logo printed on it for special events and the restaurant.
