Since 1976, Tanaka's Produce has been a fixture on US 287 in Longmont, CO.  Known throughout the county for their sweet corn, Tanaka's is the place to go for summer produce
 

Dick Tanaka has been farming since he was "Knee high to a Tadpole" according to his wife, Charlotte.  They took over the produce stand in 1995.  They sell "sugar and cream" sweet corn, cucumbers, squash onions, tomatoes and lots more.  In the fall you can smell the peppers roasting for miles.  And, of course, kids come from all around to get their pumpkins for Halloween.
 

Tanaka's uses a stock produce bag (Lo Density Polyethylene) that is 1 mil thick. They also use stock Grocery Sacks and Thank You T-Shirt bags for bigger purchases.  Pumpkins, of course, are not bagged!  If you are in the area during the summer months, be sure to stop in and grab a few ears of corn and whatever else tempts your taste buds.
