Customer of the Month
Health First Pharmacy
Health First Pharmacy is an integrative compounding pharmacy that opened its door in October, 2004.
So what is an integrative compounding pharmacy? It's a pharmacy like no other - where integrating traditional medicine with holistic,
homeopathic, naturopathic and nutritional approaches allows the pharmacist to help people obtain the best possible care.
Medications are customized to fit the individual. This may be by providing drugs that taste good or perhaps drugs that do not contain preservatives,
or that need to be taken in unusual dosages. All of these options can be provided by a compounding pharmacist. Health First Pharmacy can be found in Old Town Windsor, in one of the new developments in Sonoma County
that's fun to be part of. The European style buildings lend themselves to a different type of occupant: one that pushes
traditional ideas to obtain new approaches and yet retains the community feel of years past. Health First Pharmacy not only offers medicines
but also provides a library of books, newsletters and articles so that the consumer can participate in their health and find information
that is not commonly available elsewhere. They encourage people to be active members of a triad of careers: the patient, the medical practitioner
and the pharmacist. It is easy just to take a medication, but is that what you really want to do without finding out about available options?
At Heath First Pharmacy the pharmacists and the staff will openly encourage you to ask questions on a variety of health issues, from basic
nutrition to hormone counseling for both men and women of all ages. They even offer saliva tests to determine hormone levels!
Health First Pharmacy's website is still under construction, but can offer alternative ways of thinking
about health issues. There are credentials for Mark Burger, the pharmacist, as well as general information on the location of the store. In
addition, there is a very interesting article on the history of pharmacies and medicine distribution, as well as more
detailed information on compounding pharmacists. As a brand new company, Health First Pharmacy came to Bags with a request for packaging and
looked at many options. The packaging specialists at Bags helped Mark decide which direction he wanted to take his company.
Custom labels and and custom bags were the two main packaging products Mark needed to start the company. He chose a rectangular label
with round corners that had their attractive logo and company information printed in 3 colors. When choosing bags, Health First Pharmacy
decided that they would like to be active participants in caring for the environment and that meant using environmentally friendly bags.
They chose a 12x15+3 EF/D Bag that is white with their company logo information printed on one side using water-based inks. What Health First
Pharmacy really likes about EF/D Bags is that they convey a positive message to the consumer of Health First Pharmacy's dedication to the
environment. Health First Pharmacy encourages their customers to reuse and recycle their bags and helps to educate their customers on EF/D
Bags in the store. Congratulations to Mark on his new enterprise - we look forward to many long years of business! For each month's featured customer,
Bags tries
to showcase a customer who has
used a unique approach to their packaging, and to share a little about their
business with you. Hopefully this provides a bit of insight to how
other businesses select their packaging products and to how
Bags can help you find the right packaging for your business.
Perhaps you can find a business similar to yours among the companies
listed here. We continually provide links (see right column) to the
past year's selections ... but all our featured customers' pages
are also available. Contact one of our sales consultants for more
information. Bags Customer
