Baskets by Karen
Opportunity presents itself in all different shapes and sizes - in Karen Ballard's case, it was wrapped in cellophane and tied with a bow! In 1999 Karen's husband was a real estate agent. Whenever he closed a deal he sent out
gift baskets to the new homeowners. He found consistent problems with quality and often commented to Karen about this problem.
Karen decided to look into the situation and started creating baskets for her husband. The compliments started pouring in -
often times with requests from the recipients to purchase baskets. In 2000, Karen opened her store in
