When you walk into Shuttles, Spindles & Skeins you are immediately greeting by Brigit - the shop dog! While she doesn't knit, weave or spin, she is among the smiling faces you will see when you visit this exciting store. Everyone is anxious to make your visit a pleasant experience...be prepared!

When the shop opened in 1992, owners Judy Steinkoenig and Maggie Casey (Brigit's mom) wanted the focus to be a strong educational program for knitting, spinning and weaving. The shop is full of colorful yarns, patterns, buttons, dyes, books and other "tools of the trade". Teaching is their first love and providing quality materials to complete a project goes along with the support. There are finished projects all over the shop along with swatch samples of all of yarns carried in the shop.

Classes have expanded to include tatting, crochet, basketry and felting. If you ever have questions or problems with a project Judy, Maggie and all of the friendly experts at Shuttles will be glad to help you. They have even been known to open the shop in order to help a customer in a bind. Stop in and stay for friendly conversation, a cup of tea or just to feel the wonderful yarns that excite your senses and touch your imagination.

Shuttles uses a variety of different size Basic Brown Bags for packaging their product. The shopper bag style is the perfect carry-all for different projects helping to keep things organized. They also make wonderful gift bags for a completed project! Shuttles also uses a clear plastic merchandise bag on sale days letting the customer see what treasures they have purchased.
