Packaging 911!

Second half...here we come! Sitting here at my desk (where there are no windows), I am contemplating how quickly 2010 has gone by. It's the second half of the year already! What exactly has been accomplished in the first half...but more importantly - what are we doing to make the second half better?

PRODUCTS

The breadth of our product lines continues to grow as we move forward with our commitment to the environment. Our newest line, White Basic Brown Bags (WBBB) are one of the most exciting lines we've ever had. WBBB's are made with 100% recycled material and are WHITE both inside and out. These are the ONLY White Shopping bags in the packaging market that are made with the recycled materials AND maintain the clean feeling that comes with using a white bag. Our Customer of the Month, The White Lion, loves the change and the ability to make her packaging "Mother Nature Approved".

Another very popular bag is our Basic Cloth Bag line. We have been continually surprised by the unique uses for these bags. Most recently, we began printing cloth bags for a reptile company that uses them the transport their reptiles...snake in a bag! May's Customer of the Month, The Lazy Dog Cafe, uses the bags for promotional press packets on their company...what a great presentation! Better yet...the marketing! AROUND THE OFFICE

We ran a contest in May for customers who responded to our question of the month. We asked what changes you would make in your packaging. Choices included Earth Friendly, eliminating plate charges, reducing minimums, shorter lead times, upgrading quality and just letting someone else handle it! We got a great response and the winner of the contest is Ideas 4 Elements located in Berkeley, California. Congrats to Carol and her team! She'll be receiving 100 custom printed Orchard Bags.
